India's Constitutional Odyssey : 75 Years of Evolution and Global Reach

Siddharth Sijoria is a constitutional law practitioner and litigator based in New Delhi, with an active practice before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, and specialised tribunals. He is Practice Co-Chair – Dispute Resolution, Public Law, Regulatory & Policy at Clavius Legal, where his work spans constitutional and public law, regulatory affairs, commercial litigation, and dispute resolution. He is recognised as a leading practitioner in dispute resolution by Legal 500 Asia-Pacific and Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific.

He commenced practice in the chambers of Mr. T.R. Andhyarujina, one of India’s foremost constitutional jurists, where he was engaged in a wide range of constitutional matters before the Supreme Court, including cases relating to capital punishment, executive power, river water disputes, and the protection of human rights.

He was appointed by the Government of Maharashtra to represent the State before the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal, a proceeding of considerable constitutional significance.

He holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Constitutional Law from Central European University, pursued on a merit-based scholarship, reflecting a sustained academic engagement with comparative constitutional systems and their cross-jurisdictional evolution.

Siddharth served as Co-Chair of the Young Commonwealth Lawyers Association. This volume was conceived and initiated during his tenure, with the aim of bringing together diverse global perspectives on the evolution and enduring influence of the Indian Constitution.
