A seasoned legal professional practicing in the Supreme Court of India since 1976, he carries nearly five decades of rich and diverse legal experience. He has appeared before almost all High Courts across India and has handled significant international litigation, particularly in Singapore and the USA. Served as Advocate-on-Record from 1990 to 1993 and 1994 to 1999 and Additional Advocate General from 2004 to 2009, for the State of Rajasthan in the Supreme Court. In 2019, he was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Supreme Court of India.
During 2004–2005, he was the principal architect behind the Sports Acts enacted by the States of Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh—legislations that laid the legal foundation for the emergence of the IPL in Indian cricket. He also served as the chief draftsman of the White Paper on Publishing and Printing of Judgments using Neutral Citation and contributed as a member of the Supreme Court Committee on Subject Categorization.
He currently serves as: Chairperson – Global Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Law (GCCIL), India Centre for Fast Arbitration (ICFA), SpotLaw Apps Pvt. Ltd., and DAIV Projects; President – Bhaaratiye Japanese Heritage Foundation (BJHF) and Law Information Center (LawInC); Director – Advocates for International Development (A4ID); Founder Trustee – Society of Lawyers from India (SOLI) and Nivaaran – Supreme Court Mediators.
A prolific writer and speaker, he has delivered numerous articles, lectures, and presentations in India and abroad. He has presented papers at the Commonwealth Lawyers Association Conferences in Hong Kong (2009), Livingstone, Zambia.
He is the author of Understanding the Supreme Court Better – 151 Facts You Need to Know (2nd Edition), Shrimat Bhagwad Geeta – A Lawyer’s Perspective (4th Edition), Legal Revolution 5.0 – Online Conflict Resolution, Peace Mediation, Digital Assets, Artificial Intelligence, and co-author of Supreme Court on Arbitration and Contract Law (2nd Edition).
